Lightning Strike Sets Tree Ablaze In Bhiwandi’s Narpoli, Disrupts Internet Services And Damages Electronic Systems

On Wednesday evening, a lightning strike during a storm in Bhiwandi's Narpoli's Devjinagar area ignited a tree, causing panic among residents. Amidst strong winds, thunder and heavy rain, the lightning bolt struck the tree, causing sparks and flames to erupt from it. The alarming sight prompted locals to alert the fire brigade. Upon arrival, the BNCMC fire brigade team swiftly launched firefighting operations, eventually extinguishing the flames and preventing the fire from spreading.

While the tree was ultimately saved, the impact of the incident extended beyond the burning tree. Reports indicate that internet services were disrupted in the area following the lightning strike. Several routers, PCs, and other electronic systems suddenly stopped functioning, causing inconvenience to residents and those relying on internet connectivity for their daily tasks.

This was not the first time such incidents had occurred in the area, raising concerns among locals about the safety of trees and electronic infrastructure during thunderstorms.
