Dubai’s first Etihad Rail passenger train starts: Ticket booking, fares and routes

As Etihad Rail's inaugural service between Dubai and Abu Dhabi begins today, travelers can follow these practical tips to maximize savings and convenience.

Firstly, opt for online ticket purchases to save Dh21 per journey compared to buying in person. Choose from Comfort Class tickets priced Dh39 online, or Dh60 at the station. Flex tickets allow flexibility with no change fees.

Secondly, pair your Etihad Rail ticket with a nol One-Day Pass, which costs Dh22 and provides unlimited use of Dubai's public transport network for a single day. The pass offers both Regular and Gold options.

Thirdly, evaluate departure times and ticket categories. Comparing prices can yield savings, such as a Comfort Class ticket departing at 6.43am for Dh39, versus 4.43pm for Dh49.

Fourthly, consider using RTA bus services to reach Al Yalayis Station in Jumeirah Golf Estates. The F38 bus connects the station with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station and various parts of Dubai, with fares starting at Dh3. Alternatively, take the Dubai Metro Red Line to the station.

Lastly, for those arriving in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Rail provides free shuttle buses from Mohammed Bin Zayed City Station to ADNOC, ADNEC, and Reem Mall. Tickets for these shuttles cost Dh10 and must be booked online.
