UAE flights status: Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia, flydubai delays, cancellations; Air France extends Dubai suspension

Dubai travelers are experiencing further morning flight disruptions as regional security remains uncertain. Several airlines, including Emirates, flydubai, Air India, Ethiopian Airlines, and SpiceJet, reported delays from Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Wednesday morning. Additionally, Jazeera Airways canceled a service from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait.

Air France has extended its suspension of flights from Dubai, originally set from October 13 to October 24. Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific canceled its passenger flights between Dubai and Riyadh until January 31, 2027. Despite these challenges, UAE carriers continue to operate much of their regional network; however, Air Arabia has canceled several to Kuwait and Bahrain, while flydubai has canceled its Dubai-Abha service.

The ongoing flight disruptions coincide with diplomatic efforts to end the US-Iran conflict. US President Donald Trump expressed confidence in winning the war "very soon," while Iran's Revolutionary Guard pushed Americans to protest against Trump, accusing Washington of failing its campaign.

Jet fuel prices eased last week, falling 4.9% week-on-week to $185.43 a barrel. UAE passengers should regularly check their individual flight status before heading to the airport, despite previously confirmed bookings.

Diplomatic efforts through mediators continue, with US and Iranian officials discussing key issues such as Iran's nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Revolutionary Guard urged Americans to protest against Trump and accused the US of failing its military campaign.

As travelers navigate these challenges, UAE airlines have issued updates on their respective operations. Emirates advises passengers to check departure times for their flights, as schedules remain subject to change due to the evolving situation. Etihad Airways reported no major delays or cancellations but encountered an extended technical delay for a flight to Beijing Daxing, resulting in crew duty hour exceedance.

Flydubai canceled its service from Dubai to Abha, advising passengers to allow ample time for check-in and monitor their flight status before traveling.

Air Arabia canceled several flights to Kuwait and Bahrain, while Iranian airlines face broader regional restrictions due to US sanctions. The UAE has suspended flights operated by Iranian airlines to and from the country until further notice.
