Qatar's Education Ministry honors 82 students for international and Gulf competition achievements

Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education celebrated the accomplishments of 82 students who excelled in international and Gulf competitions during the 2025-26 academic year. The students received their accolades at a ceremony attended by Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwah Al Khater, and the ministry's undersecretary, Dr Ibrahim Al Nuaimi.

Maryam Al Muhannadi, director of the Public Relations and Communication Department, explained that international competitions enabled students to showcase the knowledge and abilities honed through their education and training. She emphasized that the awards recognized the students' dedication, discipline, and perseverance, as well as the broader support from families, teachers, supervisors, and schools.

The ministry highlighted that the achievements of students from both government and private schools demonstrated the collaboration across Qatar's education sector, along with ongoing efforts to identify talented students, nurture their skills, and offer them opportunities to represent the nation at global events. Al Muhannadi underscored the ministry's role in supporting gifted and high-achieving students, stating that such successes could inspire other students to engage in educational activities and pursue opportunities for achievement.

The ceremony featured a video presentation showcasing the students' involvement and accomplishments in international competitions and events. School leaders, parents, and education and academic figures also attended the occasion.

The ministry affirmed its commitment to further develop students' knowledge, skills, and confidence as part of the broader goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.
