Al Ansari: Qatar continues U.S.-Iran mediation despite Tehran’s Gulf attacks

Doha, Qatar - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar honored 82 students for their exceptional achievements in international and Gulf competitions during the 2025-26 academic year. The students received their recognition at a ceremony attended by the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwah Al Khater, and the ministry's undersecretary, Dr Ibrahim Al Nuaimi.

Maryam Al Muhannadi, the Director of Public Relations and Communication Department, explained that international competitions allow students to showcase the skills they have acquired through their education and training. She emphasized that these awards are a testament to the students' dedication, discipline, and perseverance, as well as the support from their families, teachers, supervisors, and schools.

The ministry highlighted that the achievements of students from both government and private schools demonstrate the collaboration within Qatar's education sector. They also acknowledged the efforts to identify and nurture talented students, develop their abilities, and provide them with opportunities to represent the country in international events.

Al Muhannadi also stressed the importance of the education ministry's role in supporting talented and high-achieving students, stating that such successes can inspire other students to participate in educational activities and seek opportunities for achievement.

The ceremony featured a video presentation showcasing the students' participation and accomplishments in international competitions and events. School leaders, parents, and education and academic figures also attended the event.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education expressed its commitment to continue strengthening students' knowledge, skills, and confidence as part of the country's objectives outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.
