Nagoya organisers regret Pakistan and South Korea travel mix-ups

The Aichi-Nagoya Games organisers issued an apology on Tuesday for a series of travel mishaps that befell the Pakistan and South Korean teams participating in the event. The issues arose when both teams mistakenly boarded buses headed towards the wrong venues.

Following the blunder, Pakistan was set to play their volleyball match against Uzbekistan at the wrong location. The team arrived at a venue earmarked for practice sessions instead of their scheduled Pool A match at Okazaki. In a bid to salvage the situation, the match was postponed and held after pushing back the start time.

South Korea faced a similar fate, with their team also missing their practice session due to reaching the wrong destination. Their team bus had headed towards Inuyama, the site of the practice venue.

A spokesperson for the Games expressed deep regret over the situation, assuring the public that they had taken immediate corrective action once the blunder was realised. "We would like to offer our sincere apologies to both teams for the inconvenience this caused."

Despite the logistical nightmares, the Pakistan team managed to push through their second successive victory, defeating Uzbekistan 3-0. The organisers had been quick to issue an apology for the transportation and logistical issues that had plagued the Games.
