Wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as ‘Pac,’ dies at 40

British wrestler Benjamin Satterley, widely known as Pac, has passed away at the age of 40, his representatives have announced. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) expressed deep sorrow over the news, confirming his death just a day after he participated in AEW's All Out event in Chicago on Saturday evening. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley embarked on his wrestling journey in 2004, showcasing his remarkable high-flying moves and exceptional in-ring skills across various global wrestling organizations.

The organisation lauded his contributions, stating he had competed in numerous memorable matches and held multiple AEW Championships. Prior to AEW, he had previously performed for WWE, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico.

Satterley donned several personas throughout his career, including Pac, Adrian Neville, and The Man that Gravity Forgot, the latter referencing a signature move where he spun 360 degrees from the top rope of the wrestling ring and landed on his opponent. The outpouring of tributes paid to Satterley expressed profound shock at his untimely demise.

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman lamented it as a "truly terrible loss," praising him as a "tremendous talent and even finer human being." AEW President Tony Khan described him as someone who "defined excellence" in terms of his character, wrestling expertise, and astonishing athleticism, calling him "the greatest export from our country" and "the greatest human being."

Fellow British wrestler Will Ospreay mourned his loss on social media, sharing a photo of the pair in the ring together and expressing his shock and heartbreak. Evil Uno, another AEW wrestler, echoed the sentiment, stating, "We have lost another great person, a great soul, a true professional."
