Wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac, dies aged 40

Wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known by his ring name Pac, has passed away at the age of 40, his representatives have announced. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) expressed their sorrow over his death just a day after he took part in their "All Out" event in Chicago. Satterley, a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, began his wrestling career in 2004 and performed in various organizations globally, captivating audiences with his unique, high-flying moves and exceptional in-ring skills.

He held multiple AEW Championships and was involved in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Prior to joining AEW, he also wrestled for WWE, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico. Satterley was known by various personas, including Pac, Adrian Neville, and "The Man that Gravity Forgot," the latter referring to his signature finishing move where he spun 360 degrees from the top rope and landed on his opponent.

Tributes to Satterley highlighted his immense talent and his character as a fine human being. WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman called his passing a "truly terrible loss," while AEW President Tony Khan described Satterley as "defining excellence" as a husband, friend, and wrestling master. Fellow British wrestler Will Ospreay hailed him as "the greatest export from our country" and "the greatest human being."

Other wrestlers, including Evil Uno and Tom Campbell, expressed their shock and grief, describing Satterley as a North East legend and a wrestling icon.
