Taylor Swift becomes most awarded artist in MTV VMAs history

At the age of 36, the pop sensation surpassed her rival Beyonce, who held the previous record with 30 Moonman statuettes. Swift broke the tie by accepting the inaugural Artist Director Honors, recognizing her vision in visual storytelling for The Fate of Ophelia.

She also claimed the prestigious Video of the Year award, dedicating it to country icon Dolly Parton, praising her legacy and storytelling prowess. The night also honored Nirvana as the Video Vanguard Award recipient, the first group to receive this accolade in over 20 years.
