Ali Hassam elected LCCI president unopposed

LAHORE - Ali Hassam Asghar has been elected President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) without facing any opposition, while Sardar Usman Ghani and Khadim Hussain have been chosen as the Senior Vice President and Vice President, respectively. No other candidates submitted nomination papers for these positions.

The nomination deadline was September 26, and the papers were verified until September 28. Once deemed acceptable, Ali Hassam Asghar, Sardar Usman Ghani, and Khadim Hussain were unanimously elected to the top three positions. The LCCI Elections 2026 took place in two rounds, with the Corporate Class voting on September 23 and the Associate Class voting on September 24.

The Election Commission then compiled the final results. In the Corporate Class, Ali Hassam Asghar received the most votes (1,700), followed by Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim (1,638) and Hamid Raza (1,605). The Associate Class saw Syed Azmat Ali elected with the highest tally (5,428 votes), with Zaman Naseeb, Shahab Basharat, Maqbool Siddique, Adil Babar Khan, Khadim Hussain, Shehzad Mahmood, Naveed Ayub, Sardar Usman Ghani, Muhammad Ijaz Ghori, Muhammad Yasin, Ali Raza, Shah Bahram, and Shehzad Ali Shah also securing votes.

With the completion of the elections, the LCCI election process is now finished, following all the required rules and guidelines.
