Zinox founder inaugurates AI centres in schools

Leo Ekeh, founder of Zinox, has officially opened artificial intelligence technology centers at two secondary schools in Lagos. The initiative, spearheaded by the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation, aims to enhance digital education and cultivate Nigeria's future technology talent. The centers are located in Gbagada Senior Grammar School and Lanre Awolokun High School, both in Lagos.

Each facility is furnished with Zinox all-in-one desktop computers, AI-enabled screens, renewable energy systems, and satellite internet connectivity. Ekeh, who also serves as Zinox chairman, encouraged students to utilize these resources to acquire skills that could lead to economic opportunities. He further called for increased investment in education by the federal and state governments, emphasizing that well-supported educators are crucial to improving the quality of learning in Nigeria.

The foundation plans to offer full university scholarships and advanced technology training to standout students, with the first group already admitted to universities for computer science and engineering programs. This latest venture is part of the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation's ongoing efforts to bolster education and technology infrastructure in Nigeria, following 123 projects across primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions over 38 years.
