Three dead in latest Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities

Russian air and drone strikes on Ukrainian cities have resulted in at least three deaths, according to official reports issued on Sunday. In the capital Kiev, a combat drone explosion claimed a single life, while four others were injured across various districts of the city. A drone strike in Brovary district also caused damage to a large warehouse.

In the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy, two women lost their lives when aircraft bombs targeted the city, one of them a 16-year-old girl, as reported on the messaging app Telegram. Five more individuals sustained injuries. This marks the third time in a week that Sumy has been struck by Russian attacks. Just the previous day, two individuals had been killed in a Russian airstrike on Sumy as well.

Ukraine has been engaged in a full-scale Russian invasion for over four and a half years. Despite the front lines remaining largely frozen, Russia has intensified its assaults on Ukrainian cities utilizing its air force, combat drones, and ballistic missiles. In response, Ukraine retaliates by launching drone strikes against targets in Russia's oil and defense industries within Russian territory.
