PM tidak puas hati gaji pekerja swasta masih rendah

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed dissatisfaction with the low salaries of private sector workers in Malaysia. He stated that the government would seek ways to negotiate with large private companies to increase wages in line with productivity levels. Although Malaysia's productivity continues to rise, wage growth remains disappointingly slow.

The Prime Minister agreed with the suggestion that more significant steps are needed, and he would announce these measures during the 2027 October Budget Announcement. The government will also engage with affected companies to push for higher wages. Anwar emphasized that higher wages are necessary to develop the Bumiputera agenda while ensuring social justice and not compromising the safety and well-being of non-Malay citizens.

He stressed that education funding should not be compared between public and private schools due to varying regional conditions. For instance, schools like Chung Hwa, which have excellent facilities, should receive more attention than those in remote areas like Manek Urai, Kapit. Anwar clarified that fairness does not mean equality; it means providing attention and support based on individual needs.
