PDRM tightens security at Wisma Negeri following exco revocation

Seremban, September 25 — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), with a focus on public safety and order in the face of recent developments in the state, remains vigilant, according to Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad. The PDRM acknowledges the Attorney General's Chambers' proclamation from April 19 and respects the ongoing constitutional and legal procedures, refraining from making any judgments beyond its jurisdiction.

In response to the cancellation of appointments for former members of the Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council (MMKN), the PDRM has implemented stricter access controls to Wisma Negeri Office. This measure is taken to maintain safety, public order, and the smooth functioning of operations within the premises, as stated in a statement by Alzafny.

The deployment of police officers at various locations, including the Tuanku Ja’afar Royal Gallery, Luak Sungei Ujong Hall, and the State Secretariat, is intended to ensure public safety.

Alzafny clarified that the heightened security measures are implemented in a controlled manner, based on the current security assessment and the requirements of premises management. He emphasized that these actions should not be seen as favoring or recognizing any party in matters under constitutional and legal processes. The PDRM, as the agency responsible for maintaining peace and enforcing the law, will continue to perform its duties professionally, fairly, and in accordance with the law, without showing favoritism to any party involved in the ongoing legal processes.

The police force will not tolerate any actions that violate the law, provoke, disturb public order, or endanger the safety of individuals or institutions.
