PDRM tightens security at Wisma Negeri following exco revocation

Seremban, September 25 — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), particularly the Negeri Sembilan police contingent, is focused on maintaining public safety and order amid ongoing developments in the state. Negeri Sembilan's police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad stated that the PDRM respects the current constitutional and legal processes, demonstrating its acknowledgement of the Attorney General's Chambers' proclamation from April 19 without making any determinations outside its jurisdiction.

Alzafny highlighted that the PDRM has implemented access control measures at Wisma Negeri Office for the former Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council (MMKN) members following the cancellation of their appointments by the Negeri Sembilan Palace. This move is aimed at preserving safety, public order, and smooth operations at the premises, as per a statement issued by Alzafny yesterday.

The deployment of police officers near various locations, such as the Tuanku Ja’afar Royal Gallery, Luak Sungei Ujong Hall, and the State Secretariat, was also announced by Alzafny. These actions were taken to ensure public safety and avoid any potential tension or disruption of public order. He emphasized that the access control measures are implemented based on a controlled security assessment and premises management requirements, without favoring any party in the ongoing constitutional and legal proceedings.

Alzafny reiterated that the PDRM is committed to carrying out its duties professionally, fairly, and in accordance with the law, ensuring that no actions violate the law, provoke public order, or threaten the safety of individuals or institutions.
