After more than a decade of anticipation, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are set to face off in their much-anticipated heavyweight bout at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on December 11, 2026. The highly-anticipated clash, which will be broadcast to a global audience on Netflix, could kick off in the early hours of Saturday morning in the UK, with organizers contemplating a later start to accommodate viewers in the United States.

The two fighters will meet in London on Wednesday, 30 September, for a press conference heralding the start of an eagerly-awaited chapter in British boxing history. Joshua, 36, shared on Instagram that he aims to "inspire a generation." Fury, 38, has yet to make any comments regarding the announcement. The event is being organized jointly by Saudi boxing mogul Turki Alalshikh's The Ring and UFC chairman Dana White.

Alalshikh heralded the bout as "one of the biggest fights in boxing history," expressing his enthusiasm in making it a reality for fans. Although Joshua and Fury had already inked contracts for the match earlier this year, the date and location remained unresolved until Cardiff recently stepped in as a viable alternative to London's Wembley Stadium and New York's Madison Square Garden.
