‘American Horror Story’ 13 Plot: What Brings All Your Favorite Characters Back Together

"American Horror Story" Season 13 has premiered, bringing together fan-favorite characters from past seasons in a plot that is far from simple. The season, co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, has combined elements from seasons "Murder House," "Coven," and "Hotel" to create a new, terrifying world. With many beloved actors reprising roles from previous seasons, including star Jessica Lange, the show has returned in its most ambitious season yet.

The premiere episode, titled "13," introduces a looming threat as Cordelia Goode (Sarah Paulson) senses something ominous for the witches and the world. Alongside Cordelia is James Patrick March (Evan Peters), who continues his work as a serial killer from the Miss Robichaux’s Academy. The episode also introduces Ben DeSoto (Joey Pollari) and his fear of the number 13, as well as his girlfriend Kira, who has a condition called Triskaidekaphilia, an obsession with the number 13.

Constance Langdon (Lange) plays a crucial role in the premiere as she becomes a daytime caregiver for the mysterious creature from the 13th floor of the Apollyon in New York City. It is revealed that Ben survived a plane crash due to an encounter with Constance and her "Nas," an 87-year-old man. Constance later discloses that her children are alive and thriving, suggesting some things might have changed from events in the past.

At the end of the episode, Ben is disturbed by a loud knock at the door, leading him to an eerie scene in the penthouse.
