2027: ‘Peter Obi’ll be victorious, Tinubu may announce himself winner’ – Buba Galadima

Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate Buba Galadima has warned that President Bola Tinubu might declare himself the winner of the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Galadima asserted that his candidate, Peter Obi, along with his running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso, will secure victory in the election if it is conducted fairly and transparently.

Galadima stated, "Peter Obi and Kwankwaso will win this election if it is free, fair, and transparent, unless somebody decides to use the machinery of government to take it away from them." He noted that Obi and Kwankwaso are currently leading in four of the six zones of the country, including the North Central, Southeast, South South, and Southwest.

Galadima further claimed that Tinubu came in third place, with no zones accredited to him. He expressed concern over the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) potentially engaging 600 professors who have endorsed Tinubu in Kaduna, describing it as a preparatory step for potential electoral fraud. Galadima emphasized that these professors should not be appointed to oversee the election due to their declared support for Tinubu.
