Only God, Tinubu know what will happen in 2027 – Galadima

Buba Galadima, a prominent figure from the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has stated that only God and President Bola Tinubu are privy to the outcome of the 2027 presidential election. During a recent appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Galadima discussed the NDC’s preparations for the election and the party’s presidential candidate lineup of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

When asked about the election’s integrity, Galadima expressed skepticism, citing the involvement of opposition politicians and fraudsters, and suggested that only divine intervention and Tinubu’s knowledge could predict the election's result.

Galadima further alleged that opposition politicians and supporters had faced coordinated attacks, pointing to incidents in Enugu, an incident involving Obi in Benue State, and an incident involving an ADC governorship candidate in Kaduna. Despite his reservations, the NDC chieftain expressed optimism about the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, asserting that they would secure victory if the election was conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.

He cautioned that any attempt to manipulate government machinery to undermine the ticket would be thwarted. Galadima, who chairs the coordinating strategic committee for the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, highlighted the complementary nature of their political experiences and areas of strength, describing the ticket as a "healing ticket" for Nigeria.

The administration, he argued, would prioritize national unity, public confidence, and security, aiming to ensure Nigerians could carry out daily activities without fear. Galadima also criticized academics who publicly endorsed Tinubu, suggesting they should not be recruited for election duties. He emphasized that the opposition’s strategy for the 2027 election might not necessitate a single candidate against Tinubu, as parties could adhere to the legal framework.
