South Korea Olympic boss gives Asian Games organisers an ‘F’

The head of South Korea's Olympic committee has publicly graded the organizers of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games an "F" due to operational issues faced by South Korean teams. Ryu Seung-min, the committee leader, stated that if athletes' performances were affected, they should be held accountable for their criticism. The problems included inadequate accommodations, with beds being too short for South Korean basketball players, leading to them being moved into hotels.

Additionally, several South Korean teams reported shuttle buses failing to arrive or taking athletes to the wrong venue. Ryu further added that if such issues persist, it indicates serious incompetence. Despite local organizers trying to defend the accommodations, Ryu emphasized that Aichi-Nagoya's performance fell short compared to other Asian Games and international events he had been part of either as an athlete or an official.
