Sen Kingibe dares Wike, says you can’t stop me in 2027

Senator Ireti Kingibe has firmly stated that she will not be deterred by insults, threats, or political pressure when it comes to her future in the Senate in 2027. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kingibe emphasized that it is solely the people of the FCT who have the authority to decide whether she will return to the Senate or not.

She firmly reiterates that no individual, including the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has the power to determine her electoral future. Kingibe insists that her role as a senator is to question, demand accountability, and uphold constitutional principles. She defends her right to raise questions about public borrowing and government actions, challenging Wike to provide official records to support his claims.

Kingibe also refuses to tolerate any attempts to intimidate, silence, or belittle women in public office, emphasizing that they should not be expected to remain silent when they seek answers and uphold their principles.
