Ismail khuatir teguran Anwar berdasar gambaran tak lengkap

Yesterday, Minister of Health Anwar Ibrahim accused Ismail Lasim and former Negeri Sembilan exco members of actions related to the royal institution. PETALING JAYA: Negeri Sembilan's Chief Minister Ismail Lasim expressed concern over Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's accusations against him and the former exco, stating that their portrayal was based on incomplete information regarding their roles in the state's royal institution affairs.

Ismail said that he and the former exco did not make a decision to either depose or appoint the Yang Di Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. "I respect the Prime Minister's concern for the royal institution, but I am worried that the accusation is based on incomplete information and the actual response of the Chief Minister and former exco in this matter."

(Members of the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly (MMKN) discussed the state administration's response to the proclamation presented as the decision of the Fourth Yang Di Pertuan.) The day before, Anwar accused Ismail and other involved individuals of lacking authority to examine the king's position and firmly denied their actions as "unwise."

Ismail retorted that he and his former exco colleagues would not interfere with investigations, customary considerations, or selection processes within their jurisdiction as per the Negeri Sembilan State Institution Act 1959 (NSIA 1959). He clarified that the state government respects the ongoing legislative process and will not take any action contradicting the court's decisions.

"Any questions regarding the validity of the proclamation, procedural adherence, and its constitutional impact must be determined according to the relevant Act and the respective legal process. We respect whatever court order."
