Former mayors of Paris, Bogota and Melbourne join YouTube co-founder and Tucker Carlson in Abu Dhabi for LIVEX

Actors Ryan Reynolds, former mayors Anne Hidalgo of Paris, Enrique Penalosa of Bogota, and Sally Capp of Melbourne, as well as YouTube co-founder Steve Chen and Tucker Carlson, are among the distinguished speakers set to attend the inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX) 2026 in Abu Dhabi. The event, taking place at Adnec from September 29 to October 1, will feature over 100 speakers, uniting experts from government, technology, media, climate, and investment sectors.

A dedicated Investors Lounge, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Mubadala, will provide a focused platform for discussions on investment opportunities as Abu Dhabi plans to invest Dh450 billion in infrastructure. The event aims to connect investors with government representatives and organizations driving the emirate's development, with a focus on the city's growing emphasis on liveability as a key factor in attracting investment, talent, and long-term economic growth.

Abu Dhabi's commitment to liveability has been recognized by Mercer's Quality of Living Survey, which has named the city the most liveable in the Middle East and North Africa for seven consecutive years, and Numbeo's Safety Index, which has listed it as the world's safest city for ten consecutive years. The event will also feature a travelling public installation inviting residents to share stories and ideas that contribute to Abu Dhabi's liveable environment, as well as a community tour and a creative initiative engaging children to imagine what magical improvements they would make to their neighborhoods.
