Eel-powered Japan whizz-kid, 11, dominates in historic Games debut

NAGOYA, Japan — The head of the South Korean national Olympic committee, Ryu Seung-min, harshly criticized the organizers of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games for their inadequate management, stating he would give them an "F" grade. During a meeting with South Korean media at the Main Press Centre in Nagoya, Ryu highlighted problems related to athletes' accommodations and transportation, among other issues.

He expressed that concerns shared by many would likely be echoed by others. Ryu noted that while some improvements have been made, the ongoing issues with accommodations and transportation are negatively impacting athletes' performances. He emphasized that the organizers' actions warrant a failing grade, stating, "If athletes' performances are affected, then we have to be critical."

Ryu, a former Olympic table tennis champion and former member of the International Olympic Committee, compared the current event unfavorably to others he has participated in, asserting, "If I were to give them a grade, it would be an F." He further stressed that persistent issues like these indicate serious incompetence, describing it as unacceptable.
