SUK, penasihat undang-undang N Sembilan jalan tugas seperti biasa

SUK Zafir Ibrahim and Muzalmah Mustapha Kamal, as the State Commissioner of Administration (SUK) and Penasihat Undang-Undang for Negeri Sembilan, continued to carry out their duties as usual, following the advice of Chief State Commissioner Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and the State Attorney General's Office (AGC). Zafir stated that he agreed with the KSN's directive to continue serving and fulfilling his responsibilities in Negeri Sembilan.

He further clarified that he had received no official letters regarding suspension of duties except for the media statements issued by the Chief Minister. Muzalmah also expressed the same commitment and attended duties regularly at the State Secretariat building. "Yes, I am working as usual and not prevented from entering offices, as long as the Attorney General directs me to continue working here, I will execute my duties as usual.

I also have not accepted any official letter regarding suspension of duties," she said. Yesterday, a Special Session of the Negeri Sembilan State Council (exco) decided to suspend the duties of Zafir and Muzalmah independently. Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan Ismail Lasim said that State Financial Officer Masri Razali would handle SUK's duties until a new appointee was named, while legal advisors Fahmi Adilah would provide legal advice until a new Penasihat Undang-Undang was appointed by the AGC.

In response, the AGC, through a statement, clarified that the exco Negeri Sembilan does not have legal power to suspend the duties of SUK commissioners and Penasihat Undang-Undang for Negeri. The AGC clarified that matters related to the appointment, including the appointment of SUK commissioners and Penasihat Undang-Undang for Negeri, fall under the jurisdiction of the State Service Authority and the State Legal Services and Legal Advice Authority, as stipulated in Article 37 of the Ninth State Government Constitution (UUTKNS) 1959.
