JAMB explains how candidates can change phone number, email on portal

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has provided guidelines for candidates looking to modify their phone number or email address within their profiles. If candidates have forgotten their profile password, they can initiate a password reset using their registered phone number. To initiate this process, candidates need to send a text message containing the word "PASSWORD," a space, and their registered email address to either 55019 or 66019.

However, updating the email address is not a self-service option on the JAMB portal. Candidates seeking to change their email must visit a JAMB office or an accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) center for assistance. Upon arrival, they must present their registration details and the desired email address. Once verified, the request will be processed by authorized personnel.

JAMB emphasized the importance of candidates ensuring that the new email address is active and easily accessible, as crucial admission and examination-related information may be communicated via this email. JAMB also reminded candidates that they can seek correction-of-data services through official channels, although some profile updates may incur prescribed fees and require physical verification at accredited centers.
