How to change phone number, email on JAMB portal

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a process for candidates to update their phone numbers and email addresses on the JAMB portal. This new feature comes in response to complaints from candidates who were unable to change their registered contact information, which hindered their ability to receive result alerts and log into their JAMB profiles.

To update their details, candidates must follow a series of steps outlined by JAMB. First, they must obtain a court affidavit supporting their request for a SIM swap or email change. Next, they should log into their JAMB e-Facility profile. Once there, they need to select the "Penalties" option, followed by "SIM Swap/Email Change Penalty Payment."

After paying the required fee, candidates must visit a designated JAMB office to complete the process. At the office, they will need to provide their profile code and existing GSM number, undergo biometric verification, and upload the scanned court affidavit. This service is available only once and is intended for candidates who have a genuine need to change their contact information.
