How to change phone number, email on JAMB portal

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has implemented a procedure for candidates who have lost access to their registered mobile numbers or email addresses on their portal. This update was announced in a video posted on JAMB's official X account, addressing the concerns of candidates who were unable to receive result alerts via their phone or log into their profiles using their email addresses.

JAMB explained that candidates who have misplaced their SIM cards or have lost access to their email addresses on the JAMB portal can now update these details.

To change the phone number or email on the JAMB portal, candidates must follow a series of steps:

1. Obtain a court affidavit from a High Court to support their request for a SIM swap or email address change.

2. Log into their JAMB e-Facility profile.

3. Navigate to the "Penalties" section on the e-Facility menu.

4. Select the option for "SIM Swap/Email Change Penalty Payment."

5. Pay the prescribed fee for the service through the portal.

6. Visit the nearest designated JAMB office to complete the process.

7. Provide their profile code and existing GSM number at the JAMB office.

8. Undergo biometric verification as part of the process.

9. Upload the scanned copy of the court affidavit, which must also be submitted to JAMB.

This service is available exclusively at designated JAMB PTC/PRC Centres. It is specifically designed for candidates who have a genuine case of lost access to their registered GSM numbers or email addresses and can only be used once. Candidates are advised to ensure the accuracy of the information they provide during the process.
