I was mocked for getting pregnant out of wedlock as pastor’s daughter – Davido’s baby mama

Nigerian influencer and entrepreneur Sophia Momodu has disclosed that she faced emotional and psychological abuse after becoming pregnant out of wedlock with singer Davido. At a United Nations General Assembly event in New York, Sophia recounted the humiliation she experienced as a pastor's daughter. She explained that the trauma of the abuse she endured resulted in her losing her voice, even as a prominent figure.

"I am a pastor's daughter who got pregnant out of wedlock by a global superstar. And I was mocked. It was crazy. I had to find myself in the midst of all that," Sophia said. For an extended period, she struggled to find her voice despite her fame, due to the relentless negative criticisms. Sophia expressed her concern about the pervasive taboos in Nigeria, where it is deemed almost shameful for a pastor's daughter to bear a child outside marriage.

She eventually rediscovered her voice after enduring constant demands to remain silent about the stigma attached to her story. Sophia Momodu is the proud mother of Davido's first child, Imade Adeleke.
