Benedict Arnold's crypt now part of kindergarten classroom
Benedict Arnold rose to major general and earned George Washington’s trust during the American Revolution before switching allegiance to Britain. He moved to England and died there in 1801, aged 60. Arnold was buried in St. Mary’s Church in Battersea, where his crypt eventually became part of a basement now used as a private kindergarten classroom.
