I was mocked for getting pregnant out of wedlock as pastor’s daughter – Davido’s baby mama

Nigerian influencer and entrepreneur, Sophia Momodu, has opened up about the emotional and psychological abuse she faced after she became pregnant out of wedlock for singer Davido. At a United Nations General Assembly event in New York, Sophia shared that the mockery she faced as a pastor's daughter made her lose her voice, despite her fame.

"I am a pastor's daughter who got pregnant out of wedlock by a global superstar. And I was mocked. It was crazy," she recalled. For a long time, Sophia struggled to find her voice amidst the negative criticisms. She explained that she was worried and drained by the shame associated with being a pastor's daughter who chose to have a child out of wedlock.

"If you are a Nigerian, you will know that it is almost a taboo for a pastor's daughter to have a child out of wedlock," Sophia said. After enduring the relentless ridicule, Sophia eventually regained her voice after being repeatedly asked to remain silent. She has since become the mother of Davido's first daughter, Imade Adeleke.
