Survival has become a daily battle in Nigeria — Nedu Wazobia

Nigerian media figure Nedu Wazobia has declared that surviving in the nation has transformed into an everyday struggle due to escalating living expenses and financial turmoil. In a recent video, he discussed the increasing costs of essential items such as education fees, housing rent, sustenance, commuting, fuel, and medical care.

Nedu emphasized that Nigerian citizens typically receive their wages, only to see their funds rapidly deplete owing to the financial challenges they confront. He further explained that the mounting economic strain is compelling individuals to engage in actions they never thought possible, causing harm and betrayal, not necessarily out of inherent wickedness but because surviving in Nigeria has become an incessant ordeal.

Nedu expressed that Nigerians do not seek miraculous solutions but yearn for an economy where diligent effort translates into a decent standard of living. He stated, "We simply desire an economy where hard work truly counts, where a parent can adequately take care of their children without stress, and where everyday Nigerians can wake up with a reduced sense of fear and a heightened sense of hope." Nedu concluded by asserting that the population deserves such a standard of living.
