Iran says conveyed conditions to US for reopening Hormuz

Iranian top negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated on Sunday that Tehran had communicated its conditions to the United States via mediators in order to reopen the strategic Strait of Hormuz. The two nations have been at a stalemate for several months, with Iran maintaining a blockade on the vital shipping route while the US pushes to choke Iran's ports and economy.

Ghalibaf emphasized that unless the US meets their conditions, it will be impossible to return to the pre-negotiation situation and restore the open strait. Mohsen Rezaei, head of Iran's supreme national security council, echoed these claims, stating that Iran had conveyed its conditions to the US through Qatar, including an end to the war on all fronts, release of frozen funds, and an end to the naval blockade.

Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is set to travel to Tehran on Sunday for further discussions. Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya central military command issued a warning against the United States on Sunday, vowing to target all US bases and interests in the region if the US makes further mistakes in dealing with Iran.
