Ratcliffe ‘must go’ says Man Utd Muslim fan group

The Manchester United Muslim Supporters group has called for club co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe to resign following his recent controversial comments. The billionaire, who is one of Britain's wealthiest individuals and founder of petrochemical giant Ineos, made remarks against immigration and the country's decline in a BBC interview.

Ratcliffe claimed that the UK was in a state of decline due to high taxes and high immigration levels. This was not the first time the club's ownership faced criticism from the group; in February, United expressed "horrified" concern and called Ratcliffe's remarks a show of disregard for their ownership. The Manchester United Muslim Supporters Club (MUMSC) has expressed disappointment and disappointment with Ratcliffe's latest comments, stating that he has not learned from his previous apology for offensive language.

The group also urged the Glazer family to step down, citing issues such as higher ticket prices, a deteriorating stadium, and a football team that continues to struggle. The club is currently sitting 13th in the Premier League, having gained only four points from their first four games, and were recently eliminated from the Carabao Cup.

The MUMSC concluded that it is time for change, stating that "Enough is enough. It is time for change. The Glazers and Sir Jim Ratcliffe must go."
