On the third day of Moscow's parliamentary elections, the city bore the brunt of what Mayor Sergey Sobyanin described as the largest Ukrainian drone attack on the capital. Sobyanin claimed more than 1,600 drones were repelled across all defensive lines, including 450 shot down as they approached Moscow. The mayor emphasized that the enemy had failed to disrupt the elections.

The third day of voting in Russia saw the city conducting elections for State Duma deputies, with the Moscow region also voting for its regional legislature. Despite the attack, the day began normally. A facility at Moscow's largest oil refinery in Kapotnya was damaged by a fire, though this was not the only reported damage. A Ukrainian drone struck a residential building near Orekhovy Boulevard, while another came down and exploded near 16 Borisovskiye Prudy Street, Building 2.

The attack prompted Moscow's governor to report two deaths and around 20 injuries, including three children. The Ramensky district suffered the worst damage, with a 21-story apartment building's roof catching fire, leading to the evacuation of 400 people and damage to 20 cars. Additionally, a warehouse in Sofyino suffered damage, as did a combined heat and power plant No. 22 in Dzerzhinsky.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attack on Moscow and the surrounding region, stating that Ukrainian forces had fired Flamingo missiles alongside the drones. He called for an end to Russia's "brutal war" and urged Russia to choose peace.
