Nila Vikhe Patil, Maharashtra Minister's Niece, Elected To Sweden Parliament

Nila Vikhe Patil, a Green Party politician and niece of Maharashtra BJP minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, has been elected to Sweden's Parliament from the Stockholm City constituency. At 41 years old, Nila will join the 349-member Riksdag, which is Sweden's Parliament. She expressed her excitement about being part of the Parliament and her desire to represent underrepresented voices and work towards creating better opportunities for children.

Nila, who was born in Sweden and spent her early years in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar, holds a bachelor's degree and an MBA from the Gothenburg School of Business. She has been politically active in Sweden for nearly 25 years, serving in various government roles and positions within the Green Party and its youth organizations. Nila is also a member of the Stockholm Green Party's election committee.
