Last-minute Cunha goal saves Man Utd from another defeat - who rated highest at Fulham?

Matheus Cunha's deflected last-minute equaliser spared Manchester United from another defeat after Lisandro Martinez's own goal threatened to give Fulham victory at Craven Cottage. Bernd Leno made an early save from Martinez and scrambled when Cunha's effort looped onto the post. Timothy Castagne was booked for bringing Marcus Rashford down during Manchester United's second-half break.

David Affengruber's defense-splitting pass to release Josh King, who couldn't finish, was notable. Calvin Bassey created Fulham's goal despite difficult positioning. Antonee Robinson pushed into advanced areas, causing defensive issues for Manchester United. Sander Berge and Shea Charles contributed to the midfield partnership protecting Fulham's defense.

Oscar Bobb, Josh King, and Gonzalo Garcia had low effort efforts. Alex Iwobi and Gonzalo Garcia had opportunities to score. Palacios kept Fulham ticking over. Luke Shaw returned from a three-match absence, helping balance Carrick's side. Youri Tielemans wasted an excellent opportunity, running on to Rashford's short pass without power. Kobbie Mainoo played tidily in possession without making the key passes.

Bruno Fernandes had a low shot against the post from Cunha's cut-back. Marcus Rashford attempted to set up Tielemans with a short pass, but the Belgian couldn't finish. Matheus Cunha started in the number nine role but created an excellent opportunity for Fernandes but deflected his shot onto the post.
