Giants Ring of Honor Inductee Ernie Accorsi Dies at 84

Ernie Accorsi, a former general manager for the Baltimore Colts, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants, died on Saturday at the age of 84. He was the second general manager inducted into the Giants Ring of Honor. Accorsi played a pivotal role in acquiring head coach Tom Coughlin and quarterback Eli Manning for the franchise. Under his leadership, the Giants secured two NFC East titles, four postseason berths, and a Super Bowl championship.

He retired in 2006, and the Giants honored him by presenting him with championship rings in 2007 and 2011.
