Eagles’ Saquon Barkley has a stinger, return questionable vs the Titans

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley suffered a stinger injury during the team's first offensive play against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, causing him to leave the field immediately. The incident occurred when Barkley took the handoff from quarterback Jalen Hurts but was halted by Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, resulting in no gain.

Barkley subsequently went to the sideline and was taken to the medical tent for further evaluation. Following an examination, the Eagles confirmed that the three-time Pro Bowler sustained a stinger, and his return to the field was deemed questionable. Despite Barkley's absence, the Eagles managed to maintain a 15-play drive, which concluded with an interception by Titans safety Amani Hooker. The interception led to a 92-yard return that effectively ended the drive.
