Usah campur urusan Sabah dan Sarawak, ketua penerangan PAS diberitahu

Speaking to reporters, Masiung clarified that the leaders of Sabah and Sarawak must make their own decisions regarding the allocation of parliamentary seats, without external interference from other political parties. He reminded Fadhli that any attempt to provoke animosity between the two Borneo states and the federal government would be unwelcome.

The vice-chairman emphasized that Sabah and Sarawak have long been advocating for a fairer distribution of parliamentary seats based on the provisions of the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (MA63), which is enshrined in the nation's constitution. He stressed that this issue is not influenced by the premiership announcement, as the federal block has been demanding this adjustment for a long time.

Masiung noted that while the political parties in Sabah, including those with opposing views, respect the parties in the peninsula, including PAS, they cannot accept Fadhli's actions as they encroach upon Borneo's political affairs. The previous day, Fadhli had reportedly made disparaging remarks about Sabah and Sarawak leaders, advising them not to "go down together with Anwar." Masiung rebuked the MP for Pasir Mas, urging him to maintain PAS's integrity and avoid being a silent instigator in Borneo's political matters.

He reiterated that the leaders of Sabah and Sarawak are capable of making their own decisions without external interference. Masiung criticized Fadhli's behavior for undermining political unity in Sabah and Sarawak, asserting that the people of Borneo are known for their strong sense of solidarity and mutual respect, regardless of their differing political opinions.

He believed that Fadhli's actions were contrary to the principles of political unity in Sabah and Sarawak, which had never been exhibited by the state leaders in their dealings with PAS.
