Russian attacks on Ukraine kill at least 11 and injure dozens over past 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, Russian attacks in Ukraine have resulted in at least 11 deaths and dozens of injuries, according to local authorities. In Kharkiv Oblast, five people were killed and 15 injured in two separate strikes. Russian forces fired two missiles, five guided aerial bombs, and nearly 60 drones at targets across the region, hitting villages and cities such as Lypkuvativka, Velykyi Burluk, Slatyne, Kharkiv, and Balakliia.

In Kherson Oblast, two people were killed and five wounded following a series of drone attacks, air strikes, and artillery shelling. Russian troops targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods, damaging high-rise buildings, private homes, and various buildings and vehicles.

In Donetsk, one person was killed in Kramatorsk, while 13 others were injured across the region after a guided missile struck a high-rise building. Additionally, a 51-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were killed when a guided missile hit a high-rise in Sumy Oblast. A 32-year-old man also died from a drone attack in the area, with Sumy Regional Military Administration reporting 50 attacks on 21 settlements from Friday to Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's air force reported that Russia had fired two "Zircon" missiles and launched 174 drones at Ukraine overnight. As of 8 am, the air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 141 targets. Poland's Armed Forces Operational Command activated air defense measures and scrambled military aircraft in response to the Russian drone attacks on Ukraine.
