Puka Nacua questionable, Aaron Donald set to play for Rams on Monday night against Giants

The Los Angeles Rams are facing an uncertainty regarding their wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is questionable to play on Monday night against the New York Giants due to a groin injury. Nacua missed practice on Saturday and has been sidelined for the second consecutive day with an injury unrelated to a core muscle injury he sustained during a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys in August.

Coach Sean McVay stated that Nacua felt good during a recent practice but was not entirely at his best, experiencing some soreness in the injured area. The fourth-year player had a solid season, making 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns, setting career highs in receptions and yards. Nacua's backup, Jordan Whittington, is also doubtful with a quad injury, potentially leaving the Rams (0-1) without two crucial run-blocking wide receivers.

If Nacua cannot play, undrafted rookies Xavier Smith and Tutu Atwell would step up as potential replacements in McVay's offensive scheme. However, there is a positive note for the Rams as defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who recently returned from retirement after two seasons away, is set to play against the Giants.
