NASCAR points standings: O'Reilly Series points update after Bristol race

Sheldon Creed maintains his lead as the NASCAR O Reilly Auto Parts Series points leader after securing victory at Bristol in the Food City 300 on September 18. Creed took the lead during the first overtime restart, overtaking William Sawalich, and held off Sawalich and Taylor Gray to claim his second win in the Chase. Carson Kvapil led with around 50 laps remaining, but a brake failure forced him to pit and end his chances at a strong finish.

As of the latest NASCAR O Reilly Auto Parts Series points standings, Creed tops the table with 2,235 points. Justin Allgaier follows with 2,224 points, just 11 points behind Creed. Carson Kvapil trails with 2,198 points, 37 points behind Allgaier. Jesse Love is fourth with 2,194 points, while Sam Mayer and Corey Day are tied on 2,157 points each, 78 and 92 points behind Love respectively.

Sammy Smith, Taylor Gray, and Austin Hill are all 92 points behind Mayer and Love, with Smith and Gray at 2,143 points, and Austin Hill at 2,129 points. Parker Retzlaff and Brandon Jones are 111 and 114 points behind Hill, with their points at 2,124 and 2,121 respectively. Rajah Caruth rounds out the top 10 with 2,071 points, 164 points behind Jones.
