Israeli strikes reportedly kill three in Gaza, including son of Hamas-linked health ministry head

On Saturday, Israeli airstrikes reportedly claimed the lives of at least three Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to local medics and family members. One strike near the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza killed Basir Al-Bursh, the son of Munir Al-Bursh, a health ministry head with Hamas ties, reported medics and family members. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed they had targeted several Hamas terrorists on Saturday, but did not provide further details.

Video footage obtained by Reuters showed Basir Al-Bursh carrying his son's body, wrapped in a blanket, as it was rushed to the hospital by ambulance alongside other mourners. Further strikes reportedly killed a man in Shejaia, east of Gaza City, and another hit a vehicle in the Sheik Radwan district of Gaza City, taking Saturday's death toll to at least three. The IDF stated that the Sheik Radwan strike targeted a Hamas terrorist, reducing the vehicle to a mangled wreck.
