Hamas says it’s in contact with mediators over escalated Israeli killings in Gaza

Hamas has stated it is engaging with mediators concerning the surge in Israeli casualties within Gaza, alongside incidents in the West Bank and at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as reported by Al Jazeera. The group's political bureau chief, Khalil al-Hayya, has been actively communicating with mediators regarding these developments.

According to a statement from Hamas, the escalating violence is undermining the prospects for peace and indicates Israel's failure to adhere to the commitments outlined in Trump's plan, primarily due to limitations on aid and reconstruction efforts. Furthermore, al-Hayya has reportedly written to various nations, cautioning that the humanitarian situation in Gaza could deteriorate as winter nears.

He emphasized that Israel is obstructing the import of essential machinery required for clearing debris and repairing damaged structures, as well as the delivery of tents and supplies meant to safeguard residents from cold and rain.

The organization is urging mediators to urge Israel to fulfill its obligations under the initial phase of the ceasefire agreement, specifically by halting the killings and permitting the unimpeded delivery of rescue and shelter equipment into Gaza.
