Why Mumbai Police closed Disha Salian case, and SIT did not pursue it further

Six years after Disha Salian's death, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered an FIR but the Mumbai Police and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Devendra Fadnavis-Eknath Shinde government determined there was no foul play. The Disha Salian case was closed by the authorities as they found no evidence to support the allegations made at the time, which included claims that she had "partied with politicians" and was pregnant.

The postmortem report disproved the allegations that she was naked when found, and her father had confirmed this. The SIT probe could not proceed further as no one came forward to record statements. There were no links found between Sushant Singh Rajput's death and Disha Salian's death, according to the Mumbai Police officer overseeing the probe.
