Akwa Ibom: Police begin investigation into child abduction case, warn content creators

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has launched an investigation into a child abduction case in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, according to a report. The incident reportedly involved a woman who entrusted her children to a new co-tenant, who allegedly abducted them before she returned. The police have warned landlords to conduct thorough background checks on potential tenants, including verifying identification, contact information, and other details.

They have also cautioned social media users and content creators not to spread sensitive child-abduction information without consulting the police first. Parents and guardians are advised to be cautious when leaving their children with unfamiliar individuals.
