‘Want to be the first’: Apple fans queue up across India for iPhone 18 Pro launch

Apple enthusiasts across India arrived in large numbers for the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on Friday. The highly anticipated models went on sale at 8 am, with customers lining up well before the stores opened in major cities such as Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and beyond.

In Delhi’s Select Citywalk Mall, eager buyers started gathering in the early hours. One customer who had pre-booked an iPhone 18 Pro Max expressed his determination, stating, "Sabse pahele lena humnein hai [I will be the first to buy it]."

Customers in Noida's DLF Mall of India also showed strong enthusiasm, with staff counting down before allowing the first shoppers inside. A video showed the long queue outside the Apple Store in Noida as eager customers awaited their turn to purchase the new devices.

Some buyers even traveled from other states to be part of the launch. A buyer from Punjab informed ANI that he had been waiting in the queue since 6 am, noting that he was the very first person in the line to receive his iPhone.

In Mumbai, customers turned up through the night, with staff later conducting a countdown before welcoming them inside the store. A buyer who traveled from Surat expressed his excitement, saying, "I’ve got the first phone. I’m really excited. My goal was to get the first one; I’d been waiting here for about 10 to 12 hours for this. Finally, the first phone is in my hands. I’m absolutely thrilled about it."

Bengaluru also witnessed a significant turnout, with Apple enthusiasts lining up early in the morning. One customer shared his experience, mentioning that he had been purchasing iPhones for a long time and that the launch day was like a festival for him.
