In India, a frenzy for the new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models ensued as eager buyers formed long queues outside Apple stores on Friday. The release began at 8:00 AM, allowing general store purchases and pre-orders alike. Thrilled customers lined up outside Apple stores in major cities like Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and beyond, even crossing state lines to participate in the lines.

One Punjab resident had been waiting since 6 am, proudly declaring that he was the first to receive his iPhone 18 Pro Max. Upgrades from older models were also a motivation for some buyers, like a Delhi customer who needed to replace his iPhone 15 Plus. Apple highlighted the iPhone 18 Pro's advanced camera, battery life, performance, and AI capabilities, as well as its significant enhancements in photography, video, and user experience.

Priced at ₹164,900 and ₹179,900, the iPhone 18 models started seeing a surge in pre-orders across India, with India-manufactured versions finally available on launch day, marking a substantial shift in local production.
