Aminuddin wants action against exco members over royal statement

Former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar Aminuddin Harun has called for authorities to take legal action against state executive council members who issued a statement affirming Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir's removal as the Yang Dipertuan Besar. Aminuddin argued that the exco members' actions amounted to treason against Tuanku Muhriz.

He reiterated that under the Negeri Sembilan constitution, exco members have no authority to make decisions regarding the Yang Dipertuan Besar's position. The state executive council, chaired by menteri besar Ismail Lasim, had convened and decided that Tuanku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja'afar was the new ruler of Negeri Sembilan. Aminuddin questioned the validity of this change in position and emphasized that he, as menteri besar in April, had refused to sign the proclamation for Tuanku Muhriz's removal.
